As the holidays are upon us, we are reminded how grateful the majority of us are to have a loving family and comfortable home environment. Unfortunately, this cannot be said for all children living in San Diego. Over 3,500 children and teens in San Diego have been taken from their home because of ongoing abuse and neglect and end up in the foster care system.
The Center for Children, San Diego’s oldest non-profit, is on a mission to serve; with their focus on improving the health and well-being of our community’s children. Having just celebrated it’s 130th anniversary and with 8 locations, they provide important community-based services within hundreds of homes and schools across San Diego County, empowering over 1,000 children and families every day.
They believe the home should be a safe, nurturing environment that promotes a well-rounded, joyful childhood. It should provide the structure and role-modeling children need in order to learn good choices and healthy behaviors. Unfortunately, some children must be removed from an unhealthy environment at home whilst needing ongoing counseling, structure and multiple role-models to treat the behavioral disorders they experience due to harmful circumstances. The Center for Children helps these treatment-level foster children across the region with both placement in homes, accompanying therapy, and case management.
TOWER TALENT is excited to partner with the Center for Children for our upcoming charity event on Thursday November 9th where we will be bringing a group of students from the Center Campus to Studio West for a day of acting, modeling and empowerment activities. Our staff is humbled by the opportunity to become role models for the kids in attendance. It is our hope to motivate and inspire them to go on to have potential careers in entertainment and the arts.

Where the money is going: We want to be able to provide a fashion gift card to each and every person that attends our event. The Tower Talent Mantra is “if you look good, you feel good and with that you can take on the world” If we can give each child a brand new outfit, imagine what a self esteem booster that will be.
For every $25 donated, Tower Talent will place a star on the lobby wall naming the generous donor. You will also be entered into a drawing to win a *LIFETIME PROGRAM* valued at over $5000 with Tower Talent. There is no limit to how many times you can be in the drawing! 9:30AM: Guests arrive. Mid morning snacks.
Staff introductions, Motivational Speaker
Conflict Resolution Demos
10AM: Three hours of workshops consisting of:
Acting – Improv, Scene Work, Commercials
Runway Modeling and Photoshoots
Styling on a budget by body type and occasion
Intro to Hairstyling & upkeep; Makeup and Skincare
1PM: Break for Lunch
1:30: Group Rehearsals
2PM: Filming and Performances
2:45PM Farewell & Presentation of Gifts
